Cube & Cube L
Palm-Sized Power. Lab-Grade Precision.
With its lightweight design and exceptional accuracy, the PRIMES Cube provides reliable power measurement across multiple wavelengths and for transient pulses. It puts powerful laser diagnostics in the palm of your hand, ready anytime, anywhere.
In modern laser applications—from laboratory R&D and industrial quality control to on-site service and maintenance—precise and reliable power measurement is an essential component of success. The PRIMES Cube series of universal laser power meters is the innovative tool designed to meet all of these diverse needs.
The PRIMES Cube is a lightweight and robust laser power measurement device that employs the well-established calorimetric measuring principle. This means it calculates power by measuring the temperature change caused by the absorption of laser energy. Unlike larger, more complex devices, the Cube requires no water cooling or additional external power cords, significantly enhancing its portability and flexibility of use.
What makes the Cube so special?
-
Transient and Continuous Measurement
The Cube can measure laser powers from 25 W to 12 kW (depending on the model) and can handle both continuous wave (CW) and various pulsed lasers. Its unique design allows it to detect single laser pulses as short as 50 microseconds (µs) and from this, calculate the effective power, peak power, and energy of the laser.
-
Wide Wavelength Compatibility
The Cube supports a broad wavelength range from 400nm to 1100nm, making it suitable for a variety of different laser applications.
-
Accuracy Unaffected by External Factors
The Cube's measurement principle makes it immune to external factors such as beam position, spot size, or wavelength. It provides a measurement accuracy of ±3% and a reproducibility of ±1% (varying with model and wavelength).
-
Intuitive Display and Smart Connectivity
The Cube is equipped with a clear built-in display that provides real-time information on key parameters like laser power, absorber temperature, and pulse duration. Additionally, it supports various communication methods:
- Micro-USB Interface: Can be connected to a computer to use the more powerful LaserDiagnosticsSoftware (LDS) for detailed data analysis, measurement series setup, and data backup.
-
Robustness and Safety
The Cube features a robust and compact design. Its built-in safety interlock automatically cuts off the laser if the absorber temperature is too high, preventing equipment damage and ensuring operational safety.
